The Venandi Story
Brian Wortman was born and raised in a Northern Virginia small town. After High School, he spent 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. Post USMC, he took a job where he met his wife Crystal. They now have two 2 daughters. The couple settled in Utah where Brian continued to serve and protect as a Police Officer and a SWAT sniper for 6 years.
Brian and Crystal are lifelong outdoor enthusiasts, including hunting and hiking. But trying to wear a binocular pack, chest holster and backpack all at the same time was always uncomfortable and cumbersome.
After several years of searching for a solution, they realized they’d have to come up with one on their own, and Venandi Holsters was born. In 2021 they were awarded a patent for their design, making Venandi the first and only holsters made specifically for binocular harnesses.
Every Kydex harness holster is 100% handmade and checked for quality to ensure you get a better product than you expected. Venandi strives to keep cost fair without sacrificing quality.
Brian and Crystal take great pride in being veteran owned and family operated. Brian wanted to have a unique brand name and wanted to keep the Marine Corps and all it stands for part of the business. Thinking of The Marine Corps motto "Semper Fidelis" (Latin for "always faithful") led them to the Latin meaning for "Hunter" – "Venandi". Exactly what they were looking for.

As the inventor of Stabil-Eyes, it was frustrating to not have an answer when people asked how they could attach their sidearms to my harness system. (And to be honest, I had to deal with this challenge myself.)
So when I met Brian at a trade show, I showed him Stabil-Eyes and was thrilled when he said he could make a holster that would work with my harness system.
A couple of weeks later, he called with my holster and I am THRILLED!
